Scottish Immigration to North America
The Scottish Heritage Discovery Center will illuminate the journeys of Scots who crossed the Atlantic from the 17th century through the 19th century shaping the American landscape in the decades before the Revolutionary War and through the formation of a new nation. This exhibit traces the major waves of immigration—from points of embarkation in Scotland and Ulster to the routes they forged across the Eastern Seaboard. Visitors will follow the paths that carried thousands into settlements which still exist today as well as throughout the United States.
